Ode To Mysticism (Iqbal's Ghazal)

                                                   Ode To Mysticism
                                                      (Iqbal’s Ghazal)

O the awaited Truth! Be ever seen in the perceptible attire,
Thousands of sajdahs are restlessly eager to gush out in my humble brows,

Sing the song of merriment, convey the sacred message to mankind,
What this melody is worth! Which is hidden in the privacy of silence,

Let thy heart be exploited by love, thy heart is that heart,
If it shatters, then it is dearer in the view of its Maker,

Nowhere in the world I got peace for crime of my miserable person,
The peace which I got was in forgiveness of Thy beneficent person,

While flying round the lamp, the small worm said that that old effect,
Is neither in thy story of burning nor in my story of melting,

Leaders lack dynamism and followers lack uniqueness in obediency,
The love lacks that warmth, the beloved is not that demanding,

The earth started whispering whenever I performed sajdah
Thy heart is idol-pervaded, thou would get nothing in slaah,
